|  get: C John Jaso 77, 26 years old, $420,000 ARB 2012 SP Joseph Cruz 71/89, 21 years old, $32,200 ARB 2013 RP Mike Ekstrom 77, 26 years old, $32,200 ARB 2012 2B Sean Rodriguez 78/80, 25 years old, $32,200 ARB 2012  get: C Ivan Rodriguez 83, 38 years old, $3 million thru 2011 C Derek Norris 68/90, 21 years old, $16,100 ARB 2013 Rays accept. I get a slight upgrade at C here for a year or two while Arencibia gets ready. Hopefully Norris turns out alright to at least make my backup catcher. Giving up Jaso/Rodriguez/Ekstrom doesn't hurt me at all, but they'll all play in Washington. Cruz will turn out to be a solid SP, but I have a lot of guys like him in my pitching farm. Brez | |

| The Washington Nationals accept. With Jesus Flores at catcher and acquiring John Jaso in the deal, it allows to make the deal shedding $3 million each of the next two seasons in Rodriguez. In addition, Cruz adds yet another young talented arm to my system and Ekstrom and Rodriguez provide good young depth. | |
